*Transitions – Consistent routines are followed throughout the day to prompt the children and aid them as they complete one activity and move to the next. Our schedule is posted in the form of a rebus chart (pictures) which provides a visual map of our daily schedule. We also use music, chants, and other verbal and visual prompts. These frequently compliment our curriculum themes and the children enjoy offering suggestions to add to our repertoire. The children are an active part of many transitions. Jobs assigned at our Morning Meeting include these responsibilities.
Children with individual needs follow the above schedule. Accommodations and modifications will be implemented as necessary to promote each child’s success in all developmental areas of our program.
Infants dictate their own schedules and are fed, napped, and diapered accordingly. Daily developmental appropriate activities are scheduled to meet their individual needs.
